The Fund for a Just Society
The Fund for International Unitarian Universalism (Available only in the Spring)

The Fund for UU Social Responsibility (the main fund)
The Fund for UU Social Responsibility - SPECIAL GRANTS
On the platform, you'll use your email address to create your user account. Setting up your User Account/Organization information may take more time than answering the application questions ~ and that's ok!
Once in the Funding Center, if you are not on the Application page, look for the "Apply" at the top of the window.
Be careful to select the appropriate fund's application, and begin composing! (Or pasting, if you have been drafting in a word processor.)
As you complete each section, you'll need to click "Save."
To fill out our budget form, you will click a link in the platform that will take you to a Google Sheet. You must answer yes to the question asking if you'd like to make a copy of our Project Budget form. Then, you can complete the form there, or download it to work on it in Excel locally. But you MUST download it to your device at some point to then upload it to our platform.

Narrative
Each fund has different criteria, guidelines and narrative questions. On the links below, please carefully read the guidelines to see if you qualify, and get a sense of the questions. You may even start drafting answers in a word processor. In the portal, the narrative questions have field limits that may require you to be more concise than you'd like.
Project Budget Form
As mentioned above, a one-page budget form in embedded in the platform for you to access and download to your device. You MUST use our form. It must present Cash Expenses, Cash Income and “in-kind” contributions, if applicable. Note the period covered by the budget. (The project budget must be for no more than one year.)
Annual Organization Budget
Summary of yearly income and expenses for your organization. One page preferred. Note what year/months the budget covers.
Decision-Making Group
List the names and primary affiliations of the board of directors, steering committee, or comparable group.
Final or Interim Reports
Most recent Final/Interim Report for a prior grant your organization has received from us. This is required even if you've already sent in a final report.
For Fund for a Just Society/Non-UU Organizations
A copy of your or your fiscal sponsor’s tax exempt 501(c)3 letter.
For UU Organizations Applying to the "UU" Funds
Letter from the governing board of your organization endorsing the proposal and agreeing to be financially responsible for the project if funded.
Optional - Supplemental Materials
You may submit copies of up to three letters of support, newsletters, brochures or similar materials. If you have audio or visual media to submit, please email us first to discuss delivery options.
